Describe ordinary household use

Record where the vehicle normally parks and how long it is usually at home. Note shared driveways, parking permissions and other people who use the area. These are planning details for the assessment, not a calculation of electrical capacity.

Provide the exact vehicle and proposed charger information if available. If nothing has been purchased, keep that decision open until the installer has reviewed the requirements. Do not try an improvised lead or unassessed outlet to establish what charging arrangement might work.

Ask about the proposed installation and handover

If solar or a home battery is already present, share existing documentation and explain the outcome you want. Ask the installer to assess compatibility and identify which functions are included in the proposal. Do not assume that equipment from different systems will coordinate automatically.

Confirm the work scope, any prerequisite assessment and the records supplied at completion. Ask for an explanation of normal use and the process for reporting a concern. Keep the agreed user instructions accessible to other household members without asking them to manage electrical settings.
