Electrician in Officer.

Officer is new-build country — the Arena and surrounding estates, full of young families in brand-new homes, solar-ready and EV-curious from day one. We do the new-build fit-off, the EV chargers and the extra power and lighting that a builder’s base spec never includes.

Why Officer

The Officer electrical story.

New-build fit-off is the default job.

Officer is one of the corridor’s busiest new-build growth fronts — the Arena and surrounding estates handing over hundreds of new homes. A builder’s base electrical spec is deliberately minimal: just enough power points and lights to pass. Most Officer families top it up after handover with extra power points where the furniture actually goes, LED downlights in the living areas, ceiling fans, outdoor power and sensor lighting, data points for working from home, and EV-charger circuits. That after-handover fit-off is regular work for us, and we size it to how you actually live in the home.

EV chargers and solar from day one.

Officer new-builds are typically solar-ready, and EV interest here starts the day the keys are handed over. Installs are often quick — the switchboard is on the garage wall, there’s spare capacity and a short cable run — so a 7kW EV charger (Tesla Wall Connector or Zappi) goes in cleanly for around $1,400. We integrate with rooftop solar so the car charges on free daytime sun, install a dedicated RCD-protected circuit, and notify United Energy where required.

Even new homes need a good electrician.

A new build doesn’t mean a fault-free build. We get called to Officer for defective appliances, builder fit-off issues under warranty, and water-ingress faults — our 24/7 emergency electrician service covers the suburb. And while the switchboards are new, rentals still need safety inspections, RCD testing and compliant interconnected smoke alarms, which we handle for the area’s many investor-owned homes.

Switchboards built for what you’ll add.

New boards are compliant, but they’re sized for the base build. Once a pool, a shed, a second living zone and an EV charger go in, capacity matters — so we plan circuits with room to grow and, where needed, recommend a sub-board or board upgrade rather than cramming the original.
